Back in Albury.  The home town.  The hood.  Back for the first time in more than a year.  Some things have changed, but most haven’t.  Nice to see the family and all.  Still has gumtrees everywhere.

We went down to Wangaratta on Sunday because my sister had a dance competition.  Early morning road tip through the country, on the empty highway, the sun crawling up amongst winter fog.

It’s a nice part of the world.  Quiet, but nice.

Have stolen the Albury photo, hope its ok, use it as desktop. My hometown too, but many years since I have lived there. Still have the odd relly or two in North Albury. Passed by Albury in January on way to Tallangatta to see some cousins, didnt stop and just followed the big bypass right through to Bandiana and onto the Tallangatta Road. Sometimes miss Australia and the smell of gum trees, also the lookout on Monument Hill, the scene of the occasional back seat fumble with a girlfriend when I was young guy!!!. Born in Albury 1944 but left when I was 18 years old.
